About Liquid Metallic HTV

If you’re looking for an ultra-premium heat transfer vinyl material, this is it! Liquid metallic HTV, also known as soft metallic, gives a liquid chrome effect when applied, resulting in one-of-a-kind designs. Our Liquid Metallic heat transfer vinyl is available in a variety of colors and is finished with an ultra-soft texture that is flexible and stretchy. The end results make the material almost appear painted on as it beautifully melts into your garments. Additionally, our liquid metallic HTV can be layered.

*Actual sheet size can be up to 1/4” shorter than stated sheet size due to manufacturing specifications

How to Apply Liquid Metallic HTV

Mirror your design. Place shiny side down on your mat.

Liquid metallic is very easy to cut and weed, just like our matte HTV. You can use a heat press, home iron or EasyPress to apply our Liquid metallic HTV, just like our standard metallic HTV.

 Home Iron:

  • Set your iron to the highest setting and firmly press your design for 15 seconds. No steam. Don't slide your iron, instead apply firm pressure in sections until your design is adhered.
  • Give it time to cool before removing carrier sheet.
  • Cover your design with Teflon sheet, parchment paper or a thin towel and do a final press for at least 15 seconds.

Heat Press:

  • Set heat press between 305 and 310 degrees (this may vary as every heat press is different).
  • Press design for 10 seconds. When doing layers, press the first layers for 5-6 seconds before pressing last layer for full 10 seconds. Be sure to always cover any exposed HTV with a Teflon sheet, parchment paper or thin towel.
  • Liquid metallic HTV is a cold peel – give your carrier sheet plenty of time to cool before peeling.
  • Cover your design with Teflon sheet, parchment paper or a thin towel and do a final press for 10 seconds.

EasyPress

  • Set your EasyPress to the proper setting for your project by adjusting the time and temperature using the +/- buttons. Use Cricut’s guide to help you out.
  • The orange light indicates your machine is heating up. Once it is green, it is ready to use.
  • Preheat your project material. Then apply your design.
  • Place EasyPress on your HTV design and press the Cricut button to start timer. Hold in pace and use pressure until it beeps.
  • Flip project material and repeat on the backside of design.
  • Liquid HTV is a cold peel.

Washing and Drying instructions for Liquid Metallic HTV:

  • Allow your design to set on your garment for 24 hours before washing. HTV needs enough time to cure to ensure it is adhered.
  • Turn garment inside out before washing.
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. Use a gentle detergent.
  • Wash in cold or warm water.
  • Dry flat or hang to dry.
  • Do not iron directly on to the HTV once applied.
